The German couple Paul and Sana are on a holiday in the English countryside. But the sleepy village turns out to be much more than Paul first imagined. The old-fashioned village, which seems to have stood still in time, becomes a mirror of his inner struggles, while a young villager awakens the very part of Paul that he has long suppressed.

With the Earth close to environmental collapse, a small ritual community retreats into nature to search for answers to the crisis. Together, they face the absolute meaning of their existence - does it mean everything, or nothing at all?

The coming-of-age story revolves around the encounter between two adolescents from different worlds. Where Patriam must stand his ground in a harsh world of concrete and toxic masculinity, the ancient water nymph Phelia still suffers the curse of winning a boy's love.
